Portable Backstops became increasingly popular with the rise of large sports arenas. This is because it is nearly impossible to attach Ceiling Suspended Backstops to arena roofs, which are typically quite high. The solution was found in Portable Backstops, which can be folded down and easily rolled to a storage area from the basketball arena within just a few minutes. This quick removal allows for the area to be cleared so that other sports surfaces and equipment can be swiftly set up for various activities.

The Portable backstop is designed with a smaller base that can hold a full-size glass backboard, making it ideal for use in colleges, schools, and churches. The backboard itself is 72″ x 42″ and made of ½″ tempered glass, which provides high performance. It comes with an aluminum frame and includes the Slammer Competitor Goal with an extension arm that provides 5′ of offset at a 10′ goal height. The backstop features a spring-assisted one lever height adjustment, eliminating the need for tools, and allowing the goal height to be adjustable from 8′ to 10'.

The Portable Backstop has a white powder-coat finish and is designed to fit through a standard 6′ 8″ double door when the backboard is lowered. It rolls smoothly on four 4″ wheels, each rated for 600 lbs., making it easy to move around. The backstop includes multi-piece base padding in black, and contains 1,000 lbs. of ballast to provide stability. Additionally, an indoor anchor kit is included to ensure that the backstop remains securely in place during use.
